What is the Business and Leadership Development Program?

The Bangladesh – Saskatchewan Business and Leadership Development Program, 2018 International Summer Course and Symposium is comprised of representatives from the College of Education, the College of Arts and Science (Departments of Economics and English), and the Edwards School of Business.  Together with the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka, this study abroad program aims to expose students to leading foreign educational institutions and facilitate interaction and networking with acadmics, business leaders, and policy makers in an international setting.  The purpose of the summer course is to provide a platform to advance knowledge sharing, research collaboration, economic development, business partnership development, and other collaboration opportunities between our Universities and beyond.

BLDP 2018 Program

Program Objectives

The major goal of the BLDP is to provide an intensive opportunity for participants from University of Dhaka and the University of Saskatchewan to deepen their knowledge of theory, practice, and reflection, contributing to their skills as leaders of businesses, banks, and other organizations.  The activities of the BLDP will enable participants to:

  1. expose students to leading foreign educational institutions, and
  2. facilitate interaction and networking with academics, business leaders, and policy makers
